It all depends where you live. In the Toronto area.. Casa teachers make a bit less than lower elementary. so if you're doing lower, then you'll probably start around 30k in this area. but it can go all the way up to 40k.

Good evening, fellow teachers! :) I'm currently a 1st grade teacher. Tomorrow, I have a job interview at a Montessori school closer to where I live. I am not trained in Montessori; however, the school I am interviewing at will train me if I get the position.
I observed and taught a few lessons at a Montessori school back in college, but that was over 5 years ago. I did a little research already, but if anyone has any tips or advice that would help me tomorrow, I am hoping you'll send them my way. :)
I also have a question. Do the Montessori schools typically pay ok? I teach at a private school and obviously don't make as much as teachers in a public school setting, but I'm hoping that if I got the position, I'd be paid at least what I do now.
